This hand-tufted and handcarved wool rug, .5" thick, features traditional motifs of acanthus leaves, medallions, scrolls, and fleurs-de-lis. The sage coloration includes saddle brown, light chocolate, ember glow, mocha, gold, sage, cypress, and pear. Back is cloth-covered latex. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. Vacuum regularly. Use a suction-only vacuum with the beater bar turned off. Shedding is a normal characteristic of wool rugs but will diminish over time with regular vacuuming. Rotate rug annually. For minor spills, clean immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. We also recommend the use of a rug pad to protect the rug and the underlying surface and to prevent color transfer.
