Wine enthusiasts will love these rugs! The Bordeaux Grape Border Area Rugs, .5" thick, are hand-tufted from pure wool. The rich, solid color fields have subtle ribbed detailing and are framed by an intertwined grapevine. The luscious fruit bounty has plump purple grapes in perfect-sized clusters. Tiny taupe bands encase the borders; handcarving adds depth and dimension to this vintage design. Backing is cotton-covered latex. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. Imported.

Rug Care Tips

Vacuum regularly. Use a suction-only vacuum with the beater bar turned off. Shedding is a normal characteristic of wool rugs but will diminish over time with regular vacuuming. Rotate rug annually. For minor spills, clean immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. We also recommend the use of a rug pad to protect the rug and the underlying surface and to prevent color transfer.

We bought the plum color for our dining room and it is perfect! The colors are more vibrant than the pictures online which is always a plus. The carpet is well constructed with tight wool weave with thick durable backing. Best carpet find ever, we look forward to enjoying it for years to come!

Nice Rug, But Rolled Up Tight

This is a nice rug, but it's obviously been rolled up for a very long time. When I unrolled it, it curled badly. I've rolled it the opposite way and also put heavy objects on it to try to flatten it. It's finally starting to flatten out, but if you're in a hurry to have the rug flatten (or in a high traffic area, it could be a trip hazard, until completely flattened), you might want to consider something else. With that said, the quality is very good and the colors are true to the item description and photo.
