Abrash refers to color variations or striations in the rug; this effect is intentional and is used to give character or an antique look to the rug. Floorcoverings, .75" thick, are hand-tufted in India. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner.

Vacuum regularly. Use a suction-only vacuum with the beater bar turned off. Shedding is a normal characteristic of wool rugs but will diminish over time with regular vacuuming. Rotate rug annually. For minor spills, clean immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. We also recommend the use of a rug pad to protect the rug and the underlying surface and to prevent color transfer.
