I have a 36-in. wide over-the-kitchen sink window and debated whether or not to order valance in addition to swags, since I wanted the same look as the catalog. Both were ordered since I could return valance if too full. My narrow window accommodated swags and valance to get desired look as pictured in catalog. Fabric is lovely, though requires ironing! I'm am very happy with this purchase.
