The Le Rooster Kitchen Canister Set is made of colorful handpainted earthenware with a glaze finish. Whimsical canisters have airtight red lids and a different rooster on each piece to add a touch of fun to your kitchen or dining room. Canisters are accented with painted dots for a speckled appearance. Small canister is 6"dia.x9"H; 58 oz. Medium is 6.5"dia.x9.5"H; 76 oz. Large is 7"dia.x10"H; 96 oz. Extra-large is 7.5"dia.x11"H; 142 oz. Set weighs approx. 12 lbs. Food safe. Hand wash.

Timeless Canisters

I've owned this canister set for approximately 17 or 18 years. It's gorgeous and generously sized. I recently washed them up, but in my hurry to get things done, I contemplated putting them in the dishwasher, and I did. I forgot that they were hand-wash only and I ruined my beautiful canister set, so today, I'm giving myself a birthday present and I'm purchasing an identical set. I'm happy they're still in production, the set is truly timeless and I love the set today as much as I did when I purchased them 18 years ago. I anticipate they will now out live me, but God willing, I'll enjoy them at least another 25 years.

I love the vibrant colors and artist rendering of the four different roosters and that both sides of the canisters have the roosters depicted. The canisters are larger than most with very generous openings. I like that the lids have a rubber seal yet they are easy to remove. And while ceramic, they are lightweight. Personally, I wish the you could have the roosters face all 1 way (two canister roosters face left; two right) to allow flexibility in displaying. (While the roosters are on both sides of the canisters, they all face their same way). I have a Rooster themed kitchen started by purchasing this same Le Rooster style, color palette by the same artist, the LeRooster four piece dish set and display rack from Touch of Class. The colors and style are the same- spot on! Absolutely enchanting.
