Transparency in Coverage (TiC) and No Surprises Act
A note to our Employees or anyone else unfamiliar with Machine Readable Files (MRF's) which are required for compliance with the Transparency in Coverage (TiC) and No Surprises Act.
A tool is being developed by our vendor Talon called My Medical Shopper. Instructions on how to install and use this tool will be posted HERE when it becomes available well before 2023. It will provide a consumer shopping tool with provider pricing and the patient's benefits applied for the 500 specifically required services in 2023.
The link below leads to Machine Readable Files that have become a requirement under this recent legislation, which is intended to improve price transparency for consumers. While you could open and look at these, they won't make much sense to you. They're really intended for other vendors so they can create User facing applications.
