Review Summary (Based on 6 Reviews)
The coverlets work well for what they were purchased for -- color was what I expected as was the fit.
I have had several William and Mary bedspreads and loved them all. I ordered a new one and I noticed when I opened it that it was not as thick and soft as the others that I have owned. I always order the ecru so it wouldn't be a color problem. As I had good luck with this bedspread in the past, I threw it on my bed and disposed of the packaging. This is not the same bedspread that I previously owned. I laundered it and it looks old. The quality is awful, and the vendor says too bad.
I love the aubergine color. However, I ordered a queen size coverlet. A queen bed is 60" wide. The design measures 68"with a 15" drop on each side. So it is actually 98" when it should be 90" The design actually hangs onto each side 4". I wouldn't mind it hanging over 19" on each side if the design was only 60" wide.
I really like my coverlet. It is very well made and the color is perfect.
I loved my first William and Mary coverlet which I purchased many years ago..yes, it did shrink somewhat, but did not hinder the performance. I was pleased to see that you carried this product because it was time to "renew". This new coverlet, although not washed yet, is not as soft, or as thick as the old one...just my imagination??..pricey, perhaps, but nice quality.
I appreciated the fabric sample which you provided. I ordered the coverlet and matching shams which I received within a week. All good. However, when I put them on the bed, I found that the shams did not match the coverlet......they were a shade or so darker.....and I could not convince myself that it looked ok. I called customer service, and I am now waiting to receive a prepaid postage label in order to return them. I really liked the coverlet, but......the shams need to match.
