The luster-washed Serena Aubusson Rugs offer many hues and sizes to coordinate room-size rugs with smaller accent or area rugs. Runners may be used to create a smooth visual transition from room to room; round rugs are elegant beneath dining tables. Traditional Aubusson design has intricate detailing of central floral medallions, florals, and graceful scrolls. Scrolling acanthus leaves edge the fields. Florals and scrolls repose on ivory borders; large roses and leaves accent corners of rectangles and are interspersed with smaller florals on the oval and round rugs. Non-slip rug pads have a needlepunch fiber surface that reverses to rubber waffle-weave backing for improved gripping power. Serena Aubusson Rugs are made in China from pure wool. Backs are cloth-covered latex.
Vacuum regularly. Rotate rug annually. For minor spills, clean immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. We also recommend the use of a rug pad to protect the rug and the underlying surface and to prevent color transfer.
Do not place the rug in damp areas or moisten the rug with liquids, as dampness may cause deterioration. To help protect the backing, roll the rug when storing; do not fold. To help prevent fading, do not place the rug in areas of direct sunlight. For rugs used over carpeting, do not conduct any cleaning prior to removing the rug, and do not return the rug until completely dry.

Worthwhile buy!

The large rug is thick and very comfortable to walk on. Although its colors are not as vivid as shown in the catalog, they are very lovely and go well with the rest of my decor. What I especially like about this rug is that it does not have any offensive chemical odors, only a slight new wool scent. A little over-priced, but well worth it!
