Since I have lived near the ocean all my life, I love the beach, shells, sea gulls, etc. My bathroom has several pictures of the ocean and there is a beach wallpaper border around the room. I wanted the scalloped mat to put in front of the shower door. The lines on the scalloped mat are supposed to imitate the indentations on a scallop shell to give it depth. The lines are the same color as the whole shell and are of a slightly different thread, but all the threads fall down together and blend together and you can't tell the scallop mat is a shell as it looks like a beige "blob" of ink.
