I bought this chest as a stand for some african artwork carvings and it compliments the color of the artwork, and provides a solid stand to hold the items. It is small enough to be used near a doorway, while other pieces of furniture were not. I enjoy it's carved design and the drawers do allow for storage of small items, so I am satisfied with my purchase of the Bombe Chest.
