Inspired by 18th-century French carpets, these elegant rugs are made exclusively from the highest quality of wool in China. Hand-tufted Imperial Palace Rugs have a tight, luxurious .5" thickness and handcrafted designs that create a glamorous display. Striking colors of silver blue, kashmir green, pale gold, deep taupe, and walnut complete the fields. Handcarved designs have a medallion in the center with prism rays extending to the edges of the oblong octagon. Inner borders have floral scrolls that circle the central fields and a leaf design; outer borders contain Greek key designs. Latexed backs are cloth covered. Design may vary by size.

Vacuum regularly. Rotate rug annually. For minor spills, clean immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge. We recommend professional cleaning by a rug cleaner. We also recommend the use of a rug pad to protect the rug and the underlying surface and to prevent color transfer.

Do not place the rug in damp areas or moisten the rug with liquids, as dampness may cause deterioration. To help protect the backing, roll the rug when storing; do not fold. To help prevent fading, do not place the rug in areas of direct sunlight. For rugs used over carpeting, do not conduct any cleaning prior to removing the rug, and do not return the rug until completely dry.
