- Duo Lock Rug Runner Pad
Review Summary (Based on 15 Reviews)
We may have to trim 1" off length, but otherwise fits very well under the runner. Keeps the rug in place and adds a depth of softness.
These work as claimed. I use mine on carpeting, and I hardly ever have to adjust the rug. Before I would have to several times a day. Mine is in a high-traffic area, too, so it's made a huge difference on not only time spent adjusting but on looks, too.
Nice but doesn't stay put as much as I would like it to.
We didn't want the runner moving around while we were on it! It does its job.
I would have given this pad a 5 but it is so difficult to cut to size. It works well on both carpet and hardwood. Like the idea that it can be flipped.
Bought this pad to go under the 11 foot runner I purchased for our hallway. It does a great job of keeping the runner straight. The test came with three newfoundland dogs each weighing over one-hundred pounds each when they all run down the hall and sit in front of the closet door to get their cookies. Rug did not shift. Was put down on a clean hardwood floor as instructed. Buy it. Best investment to go under the runner that I also purchased.
It is a wonderful pad; nothing moves with this pad under it. It was a great find.
I love the carpet it's looks better than what it looks like online. I bought the Dura lock padding and I am so glad I did it makes the carpet feel even thicker. The only thing I don't like is the carpet sheds badly. Also the time you have to wait to receive the carpet when you order it takes way to long. once the item is shipped it gets here quickly. There seems to be a break down in the process of getting the item to the customer.
I have had rug pads before that really didn't help with slippage, etc. This one definitely does! If you want your area rug to stay in place, this is a great product. Mine is on a hardwood floor and the rug stays put. The only negative is that it a bit difficult to cut if you need to size it.
The pad was folded tightly and shrink wrapped. I had it unfolded, with weights on it for over a week before trying to use it. BUT still there are places that just won't lay flat. I am disappointed that the rug keeps slipping on the pad. I did not have this problem with the larger (same kind rug and pad) so I am disappointed. For now I've had the rug stitched to the pad and still have to have weights on it in some places. I like the runner that matches the big rug... so I hope this problem will level out.
I love the elegant cushiness of the pad. That's about it. Does it hold a rug in place....no! When the runner pad was placed according to directions on our wood floor, the rug "runs away" when walked on....does NOT hold rug in place! The 96" round pad is held in place under the round rug because our table and chairs are on top of it...however, you must be careful not to step on edge of rug as it separates from pad and will not lay back down easily. Definitely will NOT recommend anyone buy them...NOT, NOT, NOT worth the money!! One purchase I certainly regret making! Should have bought thinner, less expensive pads.
I love the thickness and softness of the pad. It's rubbery side is great for my hardwood floors... no scratches or slipping.
The pad gives the rug a very cushy feel. It is much nicer than other pads I have.
