the color of the wood stain is more like cherry instead of natural Oak.
it does not match the other wood in the room.

Sorry, but was not happy with the quality of this item and I have returned it. I purchased it because of the dark oak color, which I was happy with, but I thought the finished coating was very sloppy. There was a spot on the seat where the finish did not adhere, which left a white spot unfinished - and there was also a small nick in the seat. I thought the overall look of the seat, including the hnges, was of poor quality.
