So finely crafted that I would have expected it to be priced much higher. It is a perfect companion piece with the Capizia wall art in my bedroom. It is so sturdy despite its delicate appearance. Yes, the glass shelves do come with the metal unit. And on close inspection, you will find the variously colored sea shell inserts are meticulously cut/polished, each like an individual piece of jewelry. I couldn't be more pleased. What a find!
