Bamboo Grove Triptych

I like Asian type decor. I originally bought the triptych for my bedroom. However, I found I did not like the way it looked there. But it was so versatile it is now on my living room wall and looks outstanding.

Great piece when you step back, not great up close

I really like the simplicity of this piece and it looks great from the other side of the room. Up close it is a bit less satisfying, the wood showing through the pattern was not from a continuous piece so the lighter/darker shades of wood changes abruptly between panels. Also, the surface of the wood that has been cut away to create the pattern is rough. You can see ridges from where the cutting tool took multiple passes to carve out a larger area. It is not bad enough that I'll go to the hassle tof sending it back, but if I had seen it in person first I probably would not have purchased it.
